Feature triggers
A feature begins only when its defined condition is met. Common triggers include three or more scatters, a full set of bonus symbols, a random event, a collected-symbol threshold or a paid feature purchase.
A near miss has no special value unless the paytable awards one.
Free spins
Free spins add rounds without deducting the ordinary per-spin stake at that moment. They may use:
- an increasing multiplier;
- sticky or expanding wilds;
- symbol upgrades;
- removed low-value symbols;
- retriggers;
- a persistent collector.
Casino-promotional free spins are different. They may use a fixed stake and credit winnings as bonus funds.

Scatters
Scatters may pay anywhere, trigger a feature or do both. Check the minimum count, eligible reels and whether the trigger win is added separately.
Multipliers
A multiplier increases the relevant calculated win. Important questions:
- does it apply to one symbol, one cascade or the entire round?
- do several multipliers add or multiply?
- does it reset after the spin?
- is there a cap?
Example: two 3× multipliers might total 6× or combine to 9× depending on the rules.
Respins and hold mechanics
A respin reruns some or all positions. In hold-and-win features, special symbols may lock while empty positions respin. A reset counter can extend the feature when another qualifying symbol lands.
Cascades
Winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into the gaps. The same paid spin may produce several evaluations. A progressive multiplier may increase after each cascade, but it normally resets when the sequence ends.
Bonus buys and ante bets
A bonus buy charges a multiple of the base stake for immediate feature access. It does not guarantee that the feature returns its cost. An ante bet increases each ordinary spin’s cost for a changed trigger chance or feature condition.
Always show:
- purchase price;
- feature RTP if disclosed;
- maximum loss per purchase;
- whether local rules permit the option;
